PHYS 201 - General Physics: Mechanics
This is the first semester of calculus-based physics for students interested in the physical sciences and engineering. Topics are drawn from mechanics: vectors, linear and planar motion, force & momentum, work & energy, conservation principles, rotational motion, angular momentum, statics, and gravitation. Three hours lecture per week. Pre-requisite: MATH 135. Co-requisites: MATH 205, PHYS 203. (The course is open to first-year students if the prerequisites are satisfied). Fall.
